Hampshire Brewery beers are about to be seen Nationwide in Sainsbury’s.
PENDRAGON was recently voted into the finals of Sainsbury’s beer competition
And now it is up to Sainsbury’s customers to make the final selection by purchasing and drinking the beer!
The two beers out of 14 finalists that are drunk the most will be the winners!
Our beers are also available locally in Tesco as well as Waitrose.
It’s even easier to get hold of our beers to drink, but for the full range either shop on line or come into our shop in Romsey.
We welcome to our team two new faces:
Elaine Reay in accounts, and Simon Courtley as Business Development Manager.
Hampshire Brewery was founded in Andover in 1992 amidst the modern revolution of new independent craft breweries in England. In September 1997, the Brewery relocated to larger premises in Romsey to facilitate the growing demand for its beers. In a relatively short period of time it has developed a strong reputation for the production of high quality and consistent products, supported by original and distinctive marketing.
The Brewery has a small team of highly focused staff who are very passionate about beer, having worked in the Brewing Industry for many years. They enjoy the challenge of creating new beers as well as striving to improve the quality of the core range of beers and the service offered to customers.
For a comparatively small business, Hampshire Brewery produces a staggering number of different beers. In addition to its “core” range of five, there are two seasonal brews and one or one “special” every month. As well as being supplied on draught, a significant proportion of each brew is bottled on-site.
An active supporter of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), Hampshire Brewery has won several prizes at such prestigious events as the Great British Beer Festival (GBBF) and the International Brewing Industry Awards. In 1999, it revived Romsey’s famous Strong’s Best Bitter to much local acclaim. The brewery’s own Pride of Romsey has the distinction of having won medals at three successive GBBFs.
Hampshire Brewery is becoming a familiar brand in an increasing number of local hostelries in Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Berkshire and Sussex. It is also gaining a wider customer base through the nationwide Wetherspoon’s chain.
Hampshire Brewery’s output is not restricted to the licensed trade. Its brews can be found in many off licences as well as regional branches of Waitrose and Farmers’ Markets around the region. The home-based beer connoisseur can also buy direct via the brewery’s on-line shop (www.hampshirebrewery.com) or from the newly refurbished shop at the brewery on Romsey Industrial Estate.
