Online Beer Shop and Real Ale from Hampshire Brewery

Beers

Our beers comprise a large range of individual recipes. The ingredients for each recipe are of the finest quality from reputable suppliers! The barley variety for the pale malt is mostly “Maris Otter”, considered by most brewers to give the best flavour to the beer. The pale malt is combined with a range of coloured malts and malted wheat, along with flaked maize and more exotic ingredients to achieve the individual beer styles and flavours.
Our hops are mainly English varieties, but complemented by other European and even American varieties where a particular aroma or style of beer is sought. Again, as with the malts, different combinations are used and at selected times during the brewing process to achieve the different flavours and aromas in each beer.
The current brewery was built in 1997. Some of the brewing equipment was sourced from other breweries and “converted” into the vessels in use at Hampshire. The mash tun is of the “infusion” type, typical of traditional English breweries, and the yeast we use is a top fermenting variety.
All of the above, together with the enthusiasm of the brewing team, results in the unique beers that belong to Hampshire Brewery. We hope you will enjoy them.
